most rude ppl i have ever met and im talking about the owners denise and joe bamond of mount pleasant but obviously deff not from the south... i was standing there and she was just slamming our state. while waiting in line for our pour pour excuse of hotdogs we see this lady actually pick a wedgie out her butt with no gloves and proceed to make ppl's food left without food after paying 4 dollars for a chilli cheese hotdog not even worth it!

Wouldn't even give it one star....got so sick from eating this food, poorly prepared food. STAY AWAY!!

I had breakfast here with a work colleague - an egg, cheese and sausage on raisin toast. WONDERFUL is the correct word for it. Tasty, sweet, hot and fresh. Beats McDonalds and any other "fast" food breakfast in every way.I will definitely return when I'm in town.

As an experienced tourist in the Charleston area, I was surprised to have just discovered this somewhat of a hidden treasure. It’s located right beside the Ace Hardware in Shem Creek. It is very small with no indoor seating...just a perfect little hotdog stand, with a few bar stools to accommodate guests that can’t wait to eat. We were totally those guests! The food is delicious. The hotdogs are great but so are the other menu items. I also ordered a turkey melt, and everything was fully flavorful. You can tell that the ingredients were fresh. The tomato was juicy and tasty. We definitely recommend giving this place a try! My 1 year old ate his hotdog quicker than me, my husband, and 4 year old daughter ate ours! 😳

WOW!!! What a great gem to find. I pass it daily going to work, but today, our office of 6 decided to get lunch from here. Everything was amazing!! The bread for the hot dogs was fresh and soft, the chili was hot, the special gyro was out of this world, the Chicken Salad ,plate was fresh, the hamburger with bacon was hot and delicious. We will be back for sure!!! Bravo Johnny's!!!

Casual atmosphere, good food fixed quickly

Awesome selection of toppings for the hotdogs. Had 2 hotdogs and they where very good. The sandwiches for lunch and breakfast looked really good as well. Wish I was going to be in the area longer I would like to try more.

I miss taking my daughter to Coastal Christian just because of my morning stops at Johnnies. The breakfast options are incredible as well as a great drink selection. This was our favorite place for hot dogs while living in Old Village as well. Cool fact for people not familiar with the spot... you don't have to worry about flies due to the unique way they are repelled. Clean place, great service, great food and a cozy spot for a quick morning spot or even for lunch and a newspaper. Love this place.

My favorite hot dog place in town. My go to dogs are: Heinz 57, slaw and siracha.Mrs. Sassard's artichoke relish and mustard.

I love this place great food at a good price. I have always found the service to be excellent. It is a busy place so if you are a very slow person I could see that affecting your opinion on the service. If there are 20 people behind you waiting and you don't even look at the menu until you are at the counter that is RUDE! Be ready to order and then let the next person order. This is a fast paced place and for good reason, there is always a line and that tells you something.

Best dogs ever

Awesome little hot dog stand next to hardware store. You can get a dog with whatever you want on it and it has a big list to choose from. We got the 2 hotdog special that comes with chips and a drink for under 8.00 .Great place for a quick bite.

MOST DISGUSTING hotdogs I have EVER had. Chili taste like spaghetti sauce ! RUDE,RUDE,RUDE staff. Take your money elsewhere!!

Hands down the BEST hot dogs in Charleston!!

Good food for the price. Met a friend here for a quick bite at his recommendation. I wasn't expecting much based on the locale and prices, but the food was actually pretty good. I've only tried the breakfast sandwiches so far, but I plan on going back over the next few weeks to try other menu items. The ONLY reason I did not give them 5 stars was due to the seating capacity. They only have a few chairs at a small bar, so I wasn't able to get a seat while I was there.

The only reason I gave this beachside shack 5 stars is because there aren't 12. The Meat Lover breakfast sandwich was... well, let the photo tell you.

Every pay day I treat myself to one of Johnny's breakfast sandwiches and the struggle to not stop by every other day is real. I love their food, the staff is always quick and polite, and the price is right. If you're not looking for fancy but still want to eat good and cheap, come here.

Great quick food

Hands down best breakfast sandwiches. Never, ever again suffer from fast food woahs. These guys got you.And any one saying these guys are rude, probably needs to check their self first. The staff have always been courteous, just some people 🤔, I bet....
